- Mr. Andy Lin is the Founding Partner of Loyal Valley Capital (LVC). With over 20 years of investment experience, Mr. Lin has employed a thematic, research-driven strategy that is characterized by a top-down fundamental research process to find trends in the ongoing industry transformation in China. He is actively involved in the firm management, setting strategic directions, deal sourcing, chairing the investment committee, and post-investment value creation. Under his leadership, the firm is trusted to manage capital on behalf of many international institutional investors such as sovereign wealth funds, funds of funds, private banks, and family offices, as well as elite entrepreneurs and founders of China’s Fortune 500 enterprises.
- Mr. Lin is a serial entrepreneur and prior to founding LVC, was founder and CEO of China Universal Asset Management (CUAM), one of China’s leading investment firms with over US$73 billion assets under management by the time he left to begin LVC in 2015. Under Andy’s leadership, CUAM received over 100 industry awards including the Most Respected Fund Management Company, Best Management Team, and Best Investment Team.
- Mr. Lin received his MBA from Harvard Business School and has since established a China CEO program which is regularly attended by some of China’s top CEOs. He also holds an MA and BA in Economics from Fudan University. Mr. Lin has served as the Vice Chairman of China Asset Management Association and he sits on the boards of several Shanghai, New York, and Hong Kong listed companies.
- Chengbin Li is a Founding Partner of Loyal Valley Capital and focuses on the Advanced Manufacturing sector.
- Since joining LVC, he led the investments in SUPCON, BaYi Space and Phyplus.
- He has over 16 years of investment experience and previously worked at CUAM, including four years as the head of the private equity investment team.
- At CUAM, he led investments in companies such as Greenland Group, Realcan Pharmaceutical, Humanwell Healthcare, Conba Pharmaceutical, San’an Optoelectronics, etc.
- He graduated from Hong Kong University and Fudan University with an IMBA and is a CFA Charterholder
- Lisa Ye joined LVC in 2016 as Partner in charge of the Consumer Team and has led over 20 deals at LVC with 13 years of investment, investment banking, and media entertainment experience.
- She was named in 2017 “Top 36 under 36 investors in China” and “Top 10 investors in the Media & Entertainment” by 36kr, “2016 TOP 40 investors under 40 in China” by Cyzone and 2018 “Top 50 Venture Capital Investors in China” by Yeean
- Prior to joining LVC, she was a Senior Vice President at China Culture and Industrial Investment Fund (CCIIF), where she contributed to the start-up of the fund and led many investments in the internet and entertainment space for over 5 years, mapping key players of the industry in China and led 13 deals.
- She started her career in Lehman Brothers London, then worked in a listed London media company as a project manager and Bank of China International as a research analyst.
- She graduated from Cambridge University with a master’s degree in 2007 and a dual Bachelor of Law and of Economics from Beijing Foreign Studies University.
- Roy (Ronggang) Xie is a Managing Director and heads the Healthcare investments at Loyal Valley Capital with 10 years of investment experience. He joined Loyal Valley in 2015 and has led numerous investments in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Previously, he worked as a Director, Healthcare Investments at Cowin Oriza Venture Capital and has led ~10 investments in early-stage entirely focused on Chinese healthcare companies.
- He graduated with a Master of Biomedical Engineering from Dongnan University in China.
- Linda joined Loyal Valley Capital in 2017 as Partner in charge of institutional fundraising.
- She has over 15 years of private equity investment experience. Prior to joining Loyal Valley, she was the Head of Cross Border Investments at Hony Capital for five years, and Head of China for Partners Group prior to that.
- She graduated from Harvard Business School with an MBA in 2002. She also holds a MS in Computer Science from California State University Northridge.
- Jay Gu is mainly responsible for education investments in the Consumer Team. He has completed a series of deals in education, game, media, movie, and IPs.
- With over 11 years of experience, Jay is seasoned in private equity investment and investment consulting in TMT, education, infrastructure (toll road and port etc.) and infrastructure-related (renewable energy, cleantech, logistics and water etc.) sectors.
- He graduated with a Master of Finance from the University of Glasgow.
- Jason is a founding member of Loyal Valley Capital in 2015, focusing on investments in the Financial Services sector.
- Prior to joining Loyal Valley Capital, Jason worked for 5 years at China Universal Asset Management alongside Andy, covering China macro and financial services.
- He graduated from Nankai University with an MS in Finance.
